Quiet Presence is the new album from Icelandic pianist and composer Sævar Jóhannsson — a deeply personal, instrumental reflection on home, belonging, and identity. Inspired by a childhood shaped by frequent moves, the album explores what it means to feel grounded in a world of change. Through nine atmospheric tracks, Sævar blends creaking, organic piano with warm strings and subtle electronics, ultimately finding a sense of home through creativity, collaboration, and connection.

Recorded at Greenhouse Studios with producer Valgeir Sigurðsson (Björk, Feist), and featuring some of Iceland’s finest string players, Quiet Presence offers listeners a space to reflect. The cover art — a haunting image of Sævar floating in glacial waters — captures the album’s core feeling of being adrift, yet searching for stillness.
