It’s been awhile

I’ve been MIA for so long that I just want to give an update to what I’ve been up to this last year:

1.) I’ve released 4 singles this year with the fifth and final ‘Heima’ coming out 12th of October before the album itself ‘Quiet Presence' drops 1st of November! It’s some of my most ambitious music to date and I can’t wait to share it with you <3

2.) I got hired as music director for four different opera productions and one of them (Brím, new icelandic opera by Friðrik Margrétar-Guðmundsson) won the “music of the year” award at Gríman (Icelands theater awards). Next up is the fifth production, La Bóheme by Puccini, and it will premier on the 6th of December in Borgarleikhúsið (one of Icelands two main theaters).

3.) I co-composed a new score with the amazingly talented Maria-Carmela Raso for Katla’s Sólnes new short film “Embla” which will be released next year. The original soundtrack is haunting, ethereal, earnest and I can’t wait to share it with you!

4.) I co-hosted with Brynja Bjarnadóttir a really cool event on Piano Day simply called “Piano Day Celebration” where we rented Bíó Paradís, Reykjavík’s home to cinema culture, and screened a showcase of Piano heavy music videos by various artists such as: Eydís Evensen, Magnús Jóhann, Oldhand, Snorri Hallgrímsson, Sofi Paez, Viktor Orri Árnason and Álfheiður Erla
